Eton Mess

The messier the better, there's no right or wrong way to serve!

This is my all time absolutely favourite dessert!! The best one I ever had was in Calcot Manor (a fab spa hotel in Gloucestershire!!) It is simple and yet glamorous in it’s own quintessentially British way… and let’s face it, a little bit of naughty is always good for the soul! So, strawberries and cream at their best ….. and literally takes seconds to make!

Ingredients

  • 1 punnet strawberries
  • a dash of sugar
  • broken up pieces of meringue
  • softly whipped cream

 

Beyond delicious!

Preparation method

 

 

  1. Mash the strawberries with a little sugar
  2. Fold in broken meringues and softly whipped cream
  3. Serve, eat and enjoy!
